CAN of Leccino – Single variety Extra Virgin Olive Oil

From the olives of Torre Bartoli we extract a cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil with an elegant and long-lasting fruity aroma and an intense yellow colour. Our "Oro" is very rich in polyphenols and has a perfect balance of fruity aroma and slightly spicy and bitter taste to maximize the antioxidant properties of the juice. It is a harmonious, elegant and complex oil.

Bouquet: delicate and elegant with hints of freshly picked olives. Light olive fruitiness.

Taste: broad and harmonious, rich in sweet notes and a slight intensity of bitterness and spiciness in the right balance.

Pairings: cooked fish, white meats, sweetish vegetables and fresh cheeses.

Storage: extra virgin olive oil tends to lose its best characteristics over time, it is important to store it in dry places and at temperatures not exceeding 18-20°, once the package has been opened it would be advisable to transfer it into small containers in such a way that it comes into contact with oxygen as little as possible. All this to protect the product from oxidation which occurs through oxygen, heat and light. As oxidation increases, peroxides and acidity increase and once certain values are exceeded (0.8% acidity and 20 peroxides) the oil will no longer be classifiable as extra virgin but above all the oil will suffer a decrease in sensorial and healthy characteristics for the human organism. It is important to know that the expiry date indicated, on average 18-24 months from bottling, is purely indicative. After this date, it can be used without any risk to your health, as it will not become harmful, but simply may lose the intensity and fragrance of flavors and aromas.
